Distracted Driving Awareness – Talking-Head Video Edit

Description

A 24-second awareness video for Atlanta drivers on the dangers of distracted driving, presented by a speaker on camera. We edited the talking-head footage and created the motion graphics, keeping the speaker front and center while cutting to clean white-background animations for each key point: a map-pin intro, in-car B-roll with callouts for phone, radio and GPS, an animated speedometer showing how far a car travels every second at 70 mph, and a football-field visual for three seconds of looking away. The edit makes the safety facts easy to picture without losing the speaker's personal, trustworthy tone.

The Challenge

Road-safety facts like speed and stopping distance are hard to picture when someone just says them on camera. The video needed to hold attention and make the numbers instantly clear, without losing the personal, trustworthy feel of the speaker.

Creative Approach

We kept the speaker front and centre and cut to clean white-background motion graphics for each key point: a map-pin intro for "Attention Atlanta Drivers", in-car B-roll with callouts for cell phone, radio and GPS, an animated speedometer showing 70 mph covers 100+ feet every second, and a football-field animation for what happens in 3 seconds of looking away.
